A bed built from solid wood lasts generations, and every king size bed we make in Saharanpur is cut from solid teak (sagwan), sheesham or mango, never engineered board. Choose a clean panelled headboard, a carved Maharaja design or a storage bed, all sized to your exact mattress and room dimensions. Sagwan in particular stays stable and holds carving beautifully year after year. What is the price of a sagwan wood bed?

A solid sagwan (teak) wood bed from Woodstocks is indicatively priced from about ₹35,000 for a clean-lined king size bed up to ₹3,50,000 for a fully hand-carved teak Maharaja bed with a premium duco finish. Every bed is made to order and quoted individually, and shipping is quoted separately.

Is sagwan the same as teak, and is it good for a bed?

Yes, sagwan is the Hindi name for teak (Tectona grandis). It is one of the best woods for a bed because its high natural oil content makes it unusually resistant to warping, insects and moisture, so a sagwan bed frame stays solid and true for decades.

Fresh teak is a warm golden brown that deepens with age. If you prefer a different wood, we also build beds in sheesham (Indian rosewood) and mango wood.

Can you make a bed in a custom size?

Yes. Every bed we make is built to your exact dimensions, so you are not limited to standard king or queen sizes. Tell us the width, length and headboard height you need and we build to it precisely.

This matters most for older homes and unusual room shapes where a standard bed leaves too little walking space. We size the frame so it fits the room properly.

Can I get a carved or Maharaja-style headboard?

Yes. Saharanpur is known for its hand-carving, and we build everything from plain panelled headboards to fully carved Maharaja designs. Send a reference photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly how it will look in solid sagwan and what it will cost.

Carving adds to both the lead time and the price, so we will always show you a sketch and quote before starting.

Do you deliver sagwan beds outside Saharanpur?

Yes. We crate and ship door-to-door across India and worldwide, with in-room placement on delivery. Typical build time is around six weeks from confirmed design to dispatch, and shipping is quoted separately from the piece.
